Prevent Blindness has been the vision charity of America since 1908. As an organization we are committed to eliminating unnecessary vision loss in the United States through education, advocacy, screenings, community programs and research.
This year, Prevent Blindness will screen more than 1.5 million children for vision problems and refer a quarter million of them to an eye doctor for professional care. We will distribute thousands of vouchers for free eye exams and glasses to families with financial needs through our partnership with VSP's Sight for Student program. Our National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health will continue to push national uniform standards and a scientific and strategic approach to children's vision screenings. Our Living Well With Low Vision website will provide hope and help to seniors seeking to maintain their independence and quality of life despite irreversible vision loss.
Your support makes our sight-saving programs and services possible. Please make a tax-deductible contribution today to help more Americans enjoy a lifetime of healthy vision.
